Our Re:Use store is on the Market Place in Thirsk, right next to Heron Foods.
We receive donations of furniture from kind people right across North Yorkshire, give the furniture a bit of TLC, and then we re-sell the donated items at discounted prices to folks who love a timeless bargain!
We have Wardrobes, Beds, Bikes, Bookshelves, Bird Boxes, Bureaus, Mobility Scooters, Desks, Chairs, Tables, Pictures…anything furniture, we generally will have it!
Our store is run by an amazing team of staff and volunteers without whom we would not function. We currently have vacancies in customer services, delivery/collection team members and cleaning and display roles. Every volunteer receives a warm welcome and know that they are part of a team that delivers a vital role within their local community.
The store also incorporates ‘The Sheds’ projects, providing a safe space for everyone to meet, chat and create in our workshops. These projects are designed to promote positive mental health, as well as repairing and creating items to sell in our store.
Our store benefits the environment, as we are saving items from going to landfill, and saving co2 emissions by reducing the need for new items to be manufactured
